Any idea who did the conversion and what did they do to it ?
Only way to work out value is by knowing what it is.

Don't have a lot of details on the car, needs fairly major restore, panel rust etc, mostly intact. Ball park of what anyone would expect to pay would be really of help

'Major restore' can mean absolutely anything and everything!
Three things to be taken into account:
a) Is it 100% complete - with all running gear, trim etc.? 'Mostly intact' could mean absolutely anything.
b) if it has an engine, what and when did it last run?
c) Does it have a verifiable competition history?
I doubt that anyone could come up with a figure without a lot more information.

If I remember correctly Jack Nazers' one became a stock car in Rotorua, Neil Doyles' is knwn on here, Paul Faheys' is pictured in Nigels' "images from my past", the red one shown on a trailer in post #5 was advertised on Trade Me a while back, and discussed on here. Others?
The red road car, I spoke with Julian Tordoff about last November, he said his son did it, and he is still about.

Correct- the word is that Barry Algie had an involvement with Jacks Anglia body going on a stock car. We discussed this at Taupo last weekend.
There was another Anglia Fastback on Trademe about 8-9 years ago, sure it was red, looking rough.lower NI

Here is a quote from John almost 3 years ago.

This Anglia Fastback was on trademe about 5 years ago.
These are the same pics from the ad.
It was under $2k, took a long time to sell- as usual, people complaining of rust instead of seeing what it actually was.
About the same time was also Anglia -not a Fastback-with 289 went for $1950. "

Thanks Ken, nice work. Thats the same car I posted above, snapped by Mike Feisst at the Hamilton Hot Rod Show circa late 1960s I believe. It was never a race car, it was built by Julian Tordoff (of Top Town) as a show and street car.

The Simpson, Sprague, Goodlass Anglia is in the Manawatu and is being restored as Goodlass raced it. I have photos of the car and have seen it within the last year in its unrestored state.

Ken- always so flattering when some one finds something like these
pix that I posted from all those years ago.
This could be the Anglia that this thread is about?

John,
This can be a small world. " it was built by Julian Tordoff (of Top Town) as a show and street car. '
Julian Tordoff is the brother of Greg Tordoff who was Spinner Black's main mechanic when your Monaro was being prepared in 1969 at Morrinsville.
