For Frazer Nash fans...

I seem to remember as a kid, having the popular 'I-Spy' book of cars - and never seeing a Frazer Nash TT Replica, which was worth a fair few points...

For a variety pf reasons, there were two race groups I didn't really see in action so I missed out big time on what would have been two of my favourite groups. I did at least catch the Kinrara Trophy, first practice session on the Friday, but missed the race itself, at dusk.

If you run your mouse over the pic Steve, it should show the original file name. The race was for Bristol and BMW engined cars and this is also a favourite of mine, a Lister Bristol. Incidentally, Listers had a stand at Goodwood as they are still building run-ons of the Lister Jaguar.

Thanks Ray, I didn't think to do that. Great looking car.
Are they Lister 'knobblys' Ray or do they make the Costin bodied cars too?

Hi Steve, if you run your mouse over most of the posted pics, they should show the car make. This is a Lister Bristol - and one of my favourites too.
Incidentally, Listers had a stand at Goodwood as they are still doing run-ons of the much loved Lister Jaguar.

Lots of Jaguars, Aston Martins and Ferraris - and a couple of Austin Healeys... The Ferrari 'Breadvan' was the nickname given to this car at the time, though the real model name is still a Ferrari 250 SWB.

Talking of Listers-whatever happened to the Lister Jag that Paul Leach (don't know if that is correct spelling) raced here in classic events?

Paul Leuch. I had heard that it had gone back to the UK, but not sure whether or not it was involved in the East Tamaki fire, ditto the Connaught.
Incidentally, Paul's early V8 Morgan is the one now owned by Chris Fraser. I seem to remember Paul also racing a dark green Aston Martin DB4.

As a break from the racers, sundry pics from on and off the track and in the car park. I could have spent far more time in the car parks, but you just cannot do everything. Somewhat weary by the end of the day, as I'd set off from Bournemouth or Southampton at 6.30am each day.
There are quite a few trade stalls outside the circuit, including arguably, some of the best food stalls, not to mention the funfair, but you now have to show an entry ticket to get in, probably as it also includes a massive area with a large TV screen, so you could sit in there and watch the racing. Getting a decent cup of coffee in the paddock wasn't that easy as the number of places actually selling coffee was quite limited. On the outside of the actual circuit, or the track itself, a different matter altogether.
Large cod and chips at £9 was exceptionally tasty! Not cheap, but well worth it. A bacon bap (3 slices of bacon) was usually about a fiver.

Ray,
Is that my old "Trojan" workmate Patrick Head driving the white Jaguar # 60 ?
Plus thanks for all your wonderful photos and all the time you take to present them to us.
Very much appreciated.
Ken Hyndman.
