John, I got this message from Gus McMillan. He is a member here and is happy to help with this. Flick me an email and I'll hook you up: mailto:?subject=&body=

"Hi ya TRS I notice John Mc is looking for some Dunlop Decals for Cambridge Monaro. I have some of these original and unused, send me an address and I'll post to him. I'd have replied on Roaring Season but have forgotten my log in and password. Cheers Gus McMillan"

Rh side of engine, you can see how low and back the engine is.
Rocker cover sits below wiper bulge- I have left all the original whacks from someones hammer to get the desired clearance.
On Norm Beecheys car, htere is a pic of the car beginning its restoration....this bulge had been cut out
As motor was high performance 327, I remember it had then and has now the 7 fin aluminium rocker covers with the word Corvette on.

Headers now clear steering gear and chassis

Almost finished the headers this side.
Note the temporary ordinary rocker cover as the Corvette one on this side is having the overflow tube fitted to it.
There are 3 types of Corvette rocker covers-
56-58- offset holes, 9 fin.265/283- Corvette Script.
59-67- in line holes-7 fin.283/327-Corvette script
68- this is 350 territory- NO Corvette script, Corvette flag on filler
Bruce 302 has the correct catch tank that shows in the engine bay shot Port Drags 1970
Engine is now a great fit with these engine mounts.

Quite a bit of detail here-
Pedal box in, dash board, glove box, wipers ,wiring, steering column with correct original colours, are all in
The Mucie M22 comes through where it should.

The underbody-
Steering rods go between the C aperture of the 1967 Chev Nomad sump. The sump was always a problem then yet Chev actually made the correct profile one at the time.
Graeme Williams told me back then of this, having hoses going from front to back to try to solve this. it just took Barry Algie some selfless hours of research to see that this is the ONE for the job.
Wont work on normal height engine Monaros.
And back then there was no dry sump on this car.-end of story.
Also , as the original rear cross member was a bit suss, made another one.
Headers are almost ready for the exhaust pipes

Steve- Headers were standard brand that FABTECH in Pakuranga have adjusted for satisfactory clearance.

Santa came early this year.
Wont show all the rubbers thats boring, however we have
Dunlop decals.
Champion decals.
Koni stickers- at the moment ,Stocks are doing the shocks and surprise , surprise,,,,they are the same as 1969 Pontiac Firebird, some difference to a 67-69 Chev Camaro
And since the car is basically a Hot Rod from the 60s and with Moon manifold , what else to use for gauges but a Moon tachometer and Moon triple set in the matching holder .
Same set up and will be in the same place as back then.
I dont know what brand the originals were, but Moon was around then....nothing else would look suitable
