Top pic is Mike Fitzgibbon Falcon in Pre-65s at Timaru, raced 84-86, according to a writeup in the August 2009 Pre-65 newsletter. His son Peter races a Pre-65 Farina A40 today, according to a post on the Pre65SI Facebook page.

gokiwi, you crack me up.LOL For the sake of the North Islanders. Dave Yeoman used to supply the sound systems to Ruapuna and Timaru race tracks and to the Ruapuna drags. He was about 95 not out, 5' 2" and 40 kilograms. Hunched over with this big shock of white hair. His vehicle was a 40's Chevvy panel van with the California bleached look paint, invariably with a couple of speakers stored on the top. I know the hot rodders used to give him a hard time about the van. rumour has it that he used to sleep in the back whenever he had his systems set up. A real icon from the late 70's, early 80's:

He also did the sound system at Wigram. Wouldn't be surprised if he attended more of them than most competitors.
Not 100% confirmed then! If it is any help, I think this pic was taken in Queenstown a few years ago. It was on private property so I didn't venture in, as I was with a group and I don't think they would have wanted to hang about, as we were on our way to a breakfast!

I know where this is ( Pukekohe ). When it was ( Oct 1969 ) But who is it ? This proves that "drifting" back then was not nearly as exciting as it is today ! I have heard of "shrimp" fishing but I had never seen "Imp" fishing before ! ( Sorry it is late here in California !)
Brian Patrick ( Brimar) IIRC, forget what the reason for the Harrington signwork was, perhaps Harrington borrowed the car for a meeting or two..
