I was at Baypark in Dec. 1975.
If you look closely at the crowd past the F5000 field you might see a young Grant Sprague drinking beers with his mates, out of sight from his dad !
Grant,
You never replied to this photo. Was I right or wrong ?
Is that the same Keith who had a beautiful light blue Mini Cooper that drove past Summit Service Station after 5 pm each work day ?

Yes , oddly enough I was at B / Park that year I was up from Timaru racing in GTX...... I had heard lots about Bay Park & Mr Peter Hanna..... was a warm weekend I think it was the finals for the season , little did I know about 6 yrs later I was to move to Tauranga not only because of the weather & B/Park but to be with my big brother , Gary had a car yard with a beaut work shop on the site , Gary taught me a few things but before I could get my own licence Gary moved to the Gold Coast , I had learnt enough by this time sold my little hunts home unit & cars & got my licence, Roly Levis bought Gary's car yard so I moved into one about 3 k,s down to wards town .... a bit long winded lol..... Tauranga was a great place to live but is becoming a little like Auckland , we live in the country & takes about 15 to 20 mins to get to the city so its not that bad ..PS re Keith , I would think is was for sure he had an Austin Healey 3000 as well.
Baypark ; lost tracks - to lost magazines..

Australian " Auto Action " has just ceased publishing after 45 years, the publication name has been sold to a big group, but no indication that it will survive, started going backwards when the stopped putting the weekend results in and published on a Thursday, to being on the shelf on a Monday, with nothing of the recent racing.
Interesting at the time it started Motorman had been going for a number of years, Allan Dick's " Auto News " was around, the NZ Hot Rod magazine the longest running Automotive magazine, apart from the AA members only publication had been going since the 1960's [ correct me here !! could be a bit wrong there.
Here is the front page, I haven't read much of it yet !!. Couldn't scan as reduced so in two parts .. overlaps, sorry.
Lost magazines - regained, Auto Action is back in ACTION # 1689
