Correct - for some reason, which escapes me now after all these years, Rod's car was not available so they used Robin's Statesman. It was pretty lively in the slippery conditions on those tyres and spent a lot of time understeering. The event was the Consortium Rally in 1974.

The Mazda was in GB for the RAC.

The Statesman became known as the 'bulldozer at speed' this day. Had to wind the idle right up after first stage as when Rod lifted off for corner it would stall, so he would be fighting it while 'Doc' lent over and turned key to restart, and when it started all of a sudden there was all the lock plus what was needed, it was a bit hair raising apparently.

That Statesman could tell a few stories, might share a couple later.

Hmmm... Difficult.
White van in background with "Automobile Club de l'Ouest" suggests Le Mans, although surroundings are a maybe bit too hilly. Car 90 doesn't tally with any entry I can find from 1966-73, mostly numbers didn't run that high for the 24-hours. Deterioration of film colour is typical of that period. Likewise hair and clothing styles. Have to say I don't know!

Thats the bunny, I was very surprised it took so long for a McLaren to race at Le Mans, well it was longer as this one didn't.

I have a vague recollection that Bob Homewood used a Fiat powerplant in a sports car. possibly the 1800 out of Glenn McIntyres 124?
