Love the pics Timbo. The blue '69 fastback is interesting. Is this the car raced at some stage by Jeff Barnes? It had a very similar paint scheme (modelled off Allan Moffats '79 Camel Filters XC Falcon Bathurst colours) to George Shewierys ex-Jim Richards 69 at one point, confusing many people into thinking it was the same car.

I do remember the Barnes car with the paint scheme you mention, but have no photo's of it. The add on flared guards and front spoiler look similar though. I think this car was driven by Reda Awadallah. His family owns Blue Haven Pools and he did drive Sports Sedans later on with Blue haven Pools sponsorship.
Mean while here are a few Trans-Am Mustangs.
Steven Johnson in one of the first Trans-Am cars to make it over from N.Z. Shane Drake drove another one at the same Eastern Creek meeting.

This one was posted on the Bowden families Bowdens Own Youtube page, of Allan Moffats Mustang being put through its paces around the Gold Coast V8 Supercar street circuit. Its not a race, just a demonstration, but its still going pretty hard, and sounds fantastic:

Gosh, that brought back some memories, The Boss 302 with those huge inlet ports always felt like another cam coming to life @ around 4500, definitely kept your heart rate up in the wet, even the sound track without pictures is great..
