When some food outlets at events charge like wounded bulls, (possibly charged too much by event organisers to even be there), how refreshing to see a van with decent looking food and at a sensible price - at Caffeine & Classics.

Back a bit to 1986
and 2002 - and I need to dig out the programme to identify this one.
back to 2021 and under a Chevvy truck
We don't see many VW Passats around.

I'm hoping that this year's Revival, with the Nikon P900 camera's built in 2000mm lens, I'll get some better pics from this vantage point, but the image quality isn't as good or as fast writing to the card as the regular camera with an interchangeable lens. Battery capacity isn't so good either. So I'll still be relying on the regular camera but won't be lugging the 2.5kg bazooka lens around.
Couldn't resist this... Ripe for a caption competition.

They may be future classics to the youngsters of today, but I can't see much individuality myself. I have to consult the race programme to identify them!

Slightly better...
and a dig into the archives, in an effort to file older stuff that has been scanned but sitting around on the computer.
I believe 1989 January 15th, but happy to be corrected. Apologies if these have been posted previously.

This one could be from January 15 1989. Greg Lancaster (Volvo 360 No 5) and Bruce Manon (Ford RS Escort No 18)

With the Mustang in this shot carrying the number 18 should mean that it can't be at the same meeting. Both the Mustang and the Falcon do not appear on the 15/1/89 programme. I will have to look further.

Thanks Milan. Bruce Manon ran 181 and the Alfetta (in white) running #9. Roger Freeth #2, Peter Meadows #14

In 2005, we were in the South Island for a surprise 60th birthday in Queenstown, but stayed on to drive the lower part of the south island, which just happened to have a race meeting on at Teretonga. After a week of temperatures in the early to mid 30s, the weather was far from kind at the track, so one day, I'd love to go back when the weather is better.
