We need to pass that info on to Tony Boyden - maybe he wasn't aware of it.

What's the history of the Victor? I've never seen it before, but always remember Kent Greenwood in his blue Victor at some classic meetings and on Targa there for a few years. What ever happened to Kent and the car? Car didn't look much but went bloody fast!!

Shane Johnsons Mustang only just qualifies as an Invited Allcomer- it is Udys ex Targa winning car, history to 90s and is stock bodied, unchanged mechanically. If a CMC car is within these limits they can run. Cam Crawfords orange XA Coupe also, same with Paul Urquarts Moffat XA Coupe replica.
The Victor- ex Jack Nazers Miss Victorious. 3 times NZ Champ. Built by the Stone Bros. Jack told he that this was his first real racing car

Regards Jacks statement,- Then what was the Lotus Anglia & Cortina and Cossack Escort, wish I could train in them until a 'real racing car' came along.

The Jack Nazer Cossack Victor was a very famous NZ allcomers car and it is magic that it still exists in basically the same form as it finished its first life. It will be a great day when this car hits the track again. Craig said that he was making progress with the car so it is has not been pushed into a corner and forgotten. I think that the engine either has been overhauled or is in progress.

Loved Jack's Cossack FVA Escort - a great little car that still exists too. Is based in the lower South Island

Dont the flares look so diminuitive now in comparison to what we have been seeing in the last 10 or so years.

This would be one of the earliest pics of the car-December 1979.
Ian standing at drivers door, Barry on the ground and Dave at passenger A pillar.
All this at the family home on a hot summers day.

.
This is the cars first run at Puke-October 1984.
Looking at it, it could just be a test day, dont see any other cars, activity or flaggies.
Nowadays I dont think you would even be allowed here..
As its an early pic, it has the simple flares at the back.

The rear flares are not the box style like every other picture I've ever seen on the car, so I guess this was the way the car was originally built, and the box flares were fitted later. Was the radiator in the back originally or only after the box flares were fitted?
