#317 has a touch of the Costin Nathan about it, but looks to be in aluminium rather than fibreglass (and plywood...).

I thought it had a bit of a Len Bailey look. But not quite.

Judging by the amount of filler in the front valance this is not the first incident that this vehicle has been through !
Hey you can buy a new valance at Moss Motors (USA)for about $ 140.00 (US) Part # 855-100
Looks like someone spent almost that in "Bondo".
(I still love that 1st photo ).
Cheers,
Ken
Ken,
Have had a problem changing my Avatar, and now settled on me in the TR, at Pukekohe, not on that hill.
Did you get the Hill photo in the Moss Motors mag ?? ,
and to your other comment Bondo.. lots, did you notice the curves over the headlights on the bonnet.. the car had been been pranged before, but, mechanicals were great, plus buying it from Russ Abbott, and joining the Auckland branch of the Triumph Club [ then the NZ TR Register ], gave me lots of help. had and oil pipe break on a Hill climb and Russ put a blanking plate on the sender to the gauge so I could continue to run. Mates Ehh!!
something different, don't we love Carbies !!

Beautiful, love the filigree grille but mostly the late 30's Chevvy, Was offered back in the early 1970's a 1938 Four Door stovebolt 6, with a new paint job and rebuilt engine for $500 - was too much money at the time as had just bought a house and the mortgage was about 25.00 per week.

I would have to look at some old firewalls of Fords/Chevs etc to be sure of the coupe body, Ford ?), but that is a 289/302 Ford SB engine in post 325. Not too many Fords in Chevs, more the other way.

Bellara is on Bribie Island, in Queensland, North of Brisbane, between, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, it has a lot of interesting cars, including this somewhat neglected Volvo 240GT.

There are two of them, the second hidden by a boat and a container, so could not get a pic without alerting the owner. a couple of Boys who follow a forum Historic Rally Cars Australia, are interested, must talk to the guy about selling / donating them so they get used for parts or rebuilt, maybe one from the two..
Re: Abandoned, Forgotten, Neglected, Race And Road Cars Thread
There's a couple of those lying somewhat neglected after the passing of the owner around the corner from my place...
I might have to start adding to this little collection. One day I found a 6-pack Hemi 6 engine in a shed, well, the owner knew it was there... and in the paddock there was a bunch of stuff varying from a mid-forties Dodge ute to a Mk 3 Zephyr.
In a paddock in Iowa:

A read of the 'Montana Dodge Boys' website will keep you entertained for some time...
