Date required for these three please. A TACCOC meeting, possibly end 1985, or the beginning of 1986. I was a spectator and took my wife to be and her number 2 son, but no programme. Fixing this date will also fix several other pics from that annoying undated folder.
Had I had my accident back then, avoiding the upturned TR6 in the middle of the track, I would have escaped with the car totally intact, as concrete barriers situated so close to the inside of such a fast corner are not really necessary.
Mike Westall's Jag NOT carrying #99, which may help.

Sports cars seem to have changed... Identification isn't as easy as it once was, or maybe as you get older, you need stronger clues, not badgeless lookalikes?

Re-posting these pics - because I felt like it...
Mallory Park 1956. I was 10. Dad's pics.
Racing Car Show 1966. I was 20 - almost. Borrowed a friend's TLR camera.
Mallory 1966. I was just over 20 and borrowed Dad's camera. Denny Hulme in Syd Taylor's Lola.
Little did I know then, that 46 years later I'd be having a deep conversation about Denny, with Greta Hulme, sitting on the steps of The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur in Paris!

The Bursons are probably going to put more race laps on the BRM P207 than BRM did... What a joy hearing a V12, even if they are sensibly not revving it to its limits. As one of the helpers pointed out, getting bits for a Cosworth DFV F1 engine isn't too difficult. Not so, getting bits (any bits) for any BRM.

Yes Ray I agree, the BRM just sounded glorious and was a delight to see in the pits with the engine cover off.

Love that Wyong Motors Monaro - tribute - the Bruce McPhee Barry Mulholland winner Bathurst 500 1968
[ Mulholland drove one lap to satisfy the regulations - a slow lap as had to get going and then slow down to pit. Have a Trax model in 1;43 of the car ]
Falcon won in 1967 and Peter Brock and Des West in 1969 again in a Monaro.. The real start of the Ford versus Holden era's ..
Nice Austin A40 too ERC, thanks had one in 1968 -71, great driving car.

Sports cars.
June 1970. Different pic from last time, but still Bill Viney, who used to tow this Healey with his other one! Hence the number plate.
1971 Prescott - a real Cobra.
At the May 1977 Donington reopening. Rod Leach's Cobra and XK.
July 1980 Donington - again
I don't think I have uploaded this one before. Apologies if I have. Elva.

Ellerslie 1983 - my first.
Whenuapai 1985. Scorpion?
Goodwood FoS 2002.

2018. Bourne town centre. A pic of Raymond Mays and the ERA. It might be some form of Heritage centre but as it was closed on the Sunday and raining, with no parking nearby, I didn't get a chance to go inside.
2018. The Haynes museum at Sparkford's Red Room - again. Due to the layout, not easy to get any variation in views of the cars for photographic purposes, but as my aim is building a library of pics rather than trying to create photographic art, I'm OK with that.

Still mixing it as I continue with a more comprehensive detailing of the slides, which usually means stripping them and noting the film ID number (if any) and the sequence number. With previously mounted slides, in glass, they also need stripping and the glasses cleaning. Not a quick job.
Could be Western Springs or Ellerslie!

Ray,
Wonderful photo of those three magnificent Jaguar E-Types
plus in the background are some favorite types of cars that I have owned such as the Minis and a BMW 2002 / 1600 ?
Thanks for the memories,
Ken

Some of the extremes...
Spotted on the streets of Nottingham, 1970 or maybe a bit later based on the number-plate.
Who could ever forget the British Super Saloons of the 1970's and especially Gerry Marshall in 'Baby Bertha'.
Probably not quite as well known as a competition car... Some form of oval racing that was not of the biff and bash variety. Displayed at the British F1 GP of 1977.

Working hard on the slides that are mounted in card, plastic or glass - or even unmounted but should be! The glass ones have been dismantled and the glasses polished. I'm still struggling to date some of them.
1991 Ellerslie again. Arch Mini Club supporter polishing his Cooper S.
Masters class winner I believe

1970 Mallory Park
Hiccups uploading again... Couldn't even access the site.
Ash Cleave's Morris Special at Prescott 1971
Cadwell Park - a track that holds special memories for me, including my first ever sprint event (last in class). Next time, two years later, blitzed the class with the same car.
Then again in 1977, was comfortably leading the class in the Jubilee Hillclimb, 998cc Cooper engined Mini, until a friendly RAC Steward tipped me the nod, to say that if I won, the other regulars in that class, somewhat peeved at being beaten, would protest, because I hadn't got a front bumper on the Mini.
I borrowed one from a spectator before the final run and again, blitzed the class for the most satisfying of all class wins.
1983 Car show at Henderson
I THINK this might be February 1st 1987. Happy for it to be confirmed.
