Like Nigel, can't upload some pics at the moment.
These pics from C & C and Leadfoot, no problem, but a F5000 pic from 2004, no luck at all.
One of my favourite Q cars.
Ray Williams kept it on the grey stuff this year!
Paul McCarthy on the attack.

Morning Ray. On Steve's advice I opened a new thread and uploading now works a treat - no delays and no hang ups.

Well done Nigel. My hiccup seems to have been sorted (see picture above). I have been busy for three or four hours most days just trying to pin down slides, for accurate dates. Thankfully, pre digital days and pre transponders, there was only one car #14 at the meeting. Trying to establish what year the late Geoff Manning's #24 Volpini was taken, isn't so easy! One or two TACCOC regulars managed to bag the same number at each and every meeting.
Sometimes, the film number isn't much help as I used to buy 5 rolls at a time and park them in the fridge, but they wouldn't be used in strict rotation, so the same film number could be used two or three years down the line. Does it matter? Tell that to a race engine builder who takes more care than a backyard mechanic. It matters to him.
Such fun...
A Germanic set.
Curborough October 1982 - may have been my last UK event before heading for the sunshine.
Whenuapai 1992.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2002
Pukekohe 2002 - Racing Ray Williams of course.
...and again at the popular Domain Hillclimb, 2003. Killed off by the greedy council.
Paul Cook's BMW, Pukekohe 2003, later purchased by Philip Adamson and raced by Mal Clark at Hampton Downs. Bernie's Broadspeed GT replica parked just behind.

cont'd
Now got a touch of the Nigel's. Couldn't upload... Another attempt later.
Phil Josephs has abandoned the Rover Tomcat and chickened out with a BMW… May be more reliable, easier to maintain etc, but we seem to be continually drifting away from the older classics, even those not so old, in favour of commonality, reliability and ease of maintenance.
Will I make it to February's C & C in a classic? I have started fettling the Marcos, but it won't be ready or be legally on the road by the looks of it. Right hand rear brakes have oil contamination... Left side linings are cracked - but I have at least managed to fire it up after a long lay off. Magnette V8 needs a WoF.

Knee deep in old slides...
My first car, later bought by my Dad when I graduated to a modified 850cc Mini saloon. Note the roof had been painted using the 'Stirling Moss' approved system. Cost about $15GBP from memory. This was probably taken under Dad's ownership.
I'm guessing the dates here but possibly September 1970
Curborough October 1982 again
Pukekohe December 1989

Not in the race programme...

Amazing what you sometimes find under the bonnet of a 'Lotus' Cortina...

I wish I could accurately date this, but alas, I don't appear to have the entry lists or results from the annual Silverstone Winter Sprint Series of the early 1970's.
I do know that is Bob Brewer (TVR). Five Saturdays on the trot, often waiting for the mist to lift before we could practice. Mind you, huddled in the steamy Silverstone paddock café, with a big breakfast, having driven up for two hours after a 10 hour a night duty was always worthwhile. Competing for the day then heading back for a couple of hours kip before the 9pm start of the next ten hour shift, I could cope with - back then....
1980
1987 I think
1991?
2002 FoS
2019 Leadfoot

Not as sharp as they should be...
July 1980 - Lola Aston Martin
1983

1987

1989 - I think
1990
1994
1995 - I think. Before the ongoing brake fade, particularly at Whenuapai on about lap 5, necessitated a brake upgrade that in turn required an upgrade to 14" wheels.
A tip for those who think all Marcos had a plywood chassis. Down at sill level, if the under body is curved, it is a wooden chassis. If it is flat, like mine, it is one of the areas where the fibreglass body is attached to the metal chassis (85 self tappers in total).

This looks like a Chevron B16 body. Do you know the story of the car? Where was the photo taken?

Whoops, my mistake Remi. I should have looked at the pic rather the slide! There was a Lola Aston Martin running. Donington - but one of the meetings where I took a lot of photographs but I think I lost my programme at the track. As I took so many, it has been a constant source of frustration. I believe it was July 19th 1980.
This IS the Lola Aston... (I had posted a paddock pic of it before.) I'm missing my evening coffee and I suspect I'm not quite as with it as I once was... Could also be because I have just had another birthday.
The confusion in dating, for the Terry's of this world, are exemplified by the next two slides. One from 1979 and one from 1980. Same track, both Maserati 250F's. Both carrying #6...
I'm guessing 27th March 1983. Pukekohe.
1989
1998 Whenuapai.
