bry, thats a cool document. Some interesting cars on there. Do you know if the Graham Moore MkIII Cortina is the car raced by Pat Crea in the mid to late 70s?

In the article from post #20, the escort in the photo after the green MK2 cortina is Paul Faheys car obviously taken while on one of its 'Bond' trips, IIRC it was refused permission to race at one event due to not having a laminated screen.

Thanks Bry3500, good find. Why are there only 5 cars in the race do you know? Here is your piece of footage:

Does anyone have any progress updates on the restorations of both the Geoghegan HJ Monaro and McCormack/Edmonson Charger that appear in this clip?

Monaro is in Broken Hill...I have some pics but they are about 2 years old. I will post them later.
I think I may have put them up on here elsewhere.??
The owner sent me this in 2008? so its a bit old

Bloody hell Ellis! I haven't seen this photo before. Thanks heaps for posting it. The progress on this car is great! Much better than I thought it would be. Last photo I saw of this car it was pretty much as it last raced. I'm really pleased its being restored back to its original HJ guise, rather than the HQ guise with the huge box flares. How is the owner getting on with finding some of the rare parts like the Hewland(s) and fuel injection system etc?

Thanks again for posting this Ellis.

Bloody hell Ellis! I haven't seen this photo before. .......
Its never been posted before probably.
Pic is courtesy of the owner.

I think he has most of the bits.
The important bits at the time of the pic were with the original engine builder so I expect they would be done by now.
The guy who owns it did the resto on the Goss XB 2dr. It was for sale some time back so not sure if he still has it.
I'll post some pics of the Goss XB somewhere.
I should give him a ring and see where Monaro is up to.

Thanks Ellis. When you say the important bits were with the original engine builder, do you mean when the car was first built by John Sheppard, or when the restoration was started? Would love to know how this car is getting on.

Hey Ellis, these are absolutely awesome! Thanks for posting them. Whose is the VW fastback in the first photo? Also, post #36, whose is the Alfa? Is this Brian Foley after he'd put the V8 in it?

Just returned from MCM in Syd only went on Sat did they have any historic Sports Sedans on display on Sunday, the advertising lead me to think that a number of historics would be on display but not on Sat a bit of a letdown
