Think Craig Pulman owns and runs Gate Works in Papakura.

Sometimes an old slide shows up and this one reminded me of being at Oran Park, June 28 1970 and not having much luck with my camera. After the racing was done I managed to take a couple of photos before heading home. I found this buried in a closet at home recently and had it developed yesterday.
There in the background is the trailer for the late Glyn Scott who was to die tragically just a few weeks later.
The car in the photo was driven by Ken Goodwin and here is a brief description from oldracingcars.com
Rennmax
'the Goodwin car'
"BN3/169"
Ken Goodwin: and built and utilizing Palliser wheels and uprights. First recorded outing Warwick Farm 13 Jul 1969; initially 997cc Ford, then next time with a 1600cc twin cam; Australian Gold Star 1970 (raced at Oran Park 28 Jun 1970 with a Cosworth FVA (?) and at the Sam Hordern Trophy at Warwick Farm on 6 Sep 1970 with a 1500cc Ford); Singapore GP 12 Apr 1971 (twin-cam 1600cc). Then entered by Goodwin for Bob Muir Gold Star 1971 with a 2-litre Waggott engine. For Goodwin at the Sam Hordern Trophy at Warwick Farm 5 Sep 1971 (Waggott 1.6). Inactive for some time until bought by Terry Hook 1973 for the new Van Heusen ANF2 series. The number '169' may have been invented by Barry Lake around this time to identify the car. This car ended up with Ray Hanger and was sold by him to Vaughan Stibbard some time in the mid 1990s. Retained May 2012.

It was a sad day at Lakeside a month after the Oran Park meeting.

Vaughan still owns this car, and sadly has not progressed much with it. Do you have any other pics of it Ken, preferably rear end shots.Cheers, Garry Simkin.

Once again as I was threatened that if I did not clean out the garage someone else would come in and do it for me !
There amongst some old papers was a box of slides and I managed to rescue the following images of a day that I spent at Oran Park in June 1970.
I will need some help with identifying some of the participants and thank you in advance.
First the programme cover.
Looking along the front entry road with sedans from a Camaro to Minis.
A Mk 1 Jaguar ( Barrie Sharp ? ) leading Peter Brock's A 30 and others onto to front straight.
During the lunch break the 1968 Porsche 908 that Jo Siffert had driven at the 1968 Nurburgring race was driven around on a trailer before being taken to a race car show in Sydney.

I don't think Foley raced at Bay Park. There is no mention of him at all in the Motorman report. French and Foley finished 1-2 at Pukekohe.

After lunch there was some fun racing between the Porsche 911s of Brian Foley and Jim McKeown plus a good looking Torana with Barry Seton driving.

1970 Australian Drivers Championship competitors prepare for Round 3.
Leo Geoghegan's beautiful Lotus 59 powered by a Waggott engine awaits to be put back together for the main race in which he finished second.
Race winner Max Stewart, checks out the left rear area of his Mildren also with a 2 litre Waggott engine in a very basic paddock area at Oran Park Raceway.

Ken, the cover would be Jim Palmer in the Lotus 32 Climax
The first photo would be Pat Peck on her Chev Camaro. It was Improved Production at this stage and she often ran with Div 2 Sports Sedans. It was great off the start against the Minis but then she would get swamped.

A day at the Farm.
I think this about May 1970.Warwick Farm, Sydney.
Kevin Bartlett in his Mildren Waggott leads the field through I believe what was " Polo Corner".
Leo Geoghegan is tucked in right behind.

Thanks Dale,
I just remembered it was a right turn and was guessing.
So I must have been on the outside at about # 6 turn as per this schematic.
Still have fond memories of a day at the "Farm".

There's some confusion with dates here...
The Warwick Farm Autopics photo shows Geoghegan in the Lotus 39 chasing Bartlett in the HMV Trophy race on July 13, 1969. But it seems to me that Geoghegan has now rear wing in that photo whereas the car behind Bartlett's in your pic does have a rear wing.
Unless you can enlarge it and get more detail, I'd suggest it's Stewart chasing Bartlett in the Hordern Trophy of that year or the Tasman Cup race of 1970, most likely the latter.
The Peter Brock A30, by the way, had passed on to Ross Bond by the time the Barry Sharp pic was taken. And the pic of Max Stewart's car in the pits shows Glenn Abbey at the back of the truck with Alec Mildren partially obscured, and it might even be Stuart Randall, not Max himself, at the back wheel.
I am trying to remember who the woman in the checkered slacks is but it's eluding me. The Alto Ford Escort is Bob Holden's.

Ray,
You are correct and I should not have used that Autopics photo anyway.
Thanks for naming all the others as well.
Appreciate everyone's input to my fading memory but at least some of the photos are clear !

A more accurate map of the Farm... with the same corner numbers added, though they are deceiving as the Northern Crossing 8 & 9) were really the one corner, as was the Causeway (11 & 12).

Ken, would it be okay for me to use the Goodwin Rennmax photo on my Rennmax thread on TNF, it's a very good photo of the car and its gentleman owner/preparer?
Also the shot of the Pacer with the Porsche in tow for yet another forum?

Ken, I've got very similar photos from one of my trips to Warwick Farm and I seem to remember taking them while standing on the steps up to the Shell Bridge.

That would be right, Milan...
There is a spectator embankment right behind you there, but you'd have heads in the way if you took pics from there.

Ray,
Yes of course you are most welcome to any of my photos. It took me all this time (47 years ) to bring them out in the open. That is pathetic on my part.
If you PM your email address perhaps I can send them in a clearer format. Plus you can tell me more about those forums.
