Yes that is the one. I remember the big FORD badges you could see from the road.
Someone told me that the guy had another there but cant confirm ?
I see the trailer has Julian Tordoff (Top Town Spoilers, Tyres etc) on the side in the old original photo so may have been built by him.
I am searching for old Speedway Saloon Cars and related parts to buy, preserve and save. Any condition, anything considered. P.M me please with offers or leads.

Yes thats correct, I emailed Julian Tordoff about the car when we first posted Mike Feisst's photo of it at the Hamilton car show and he confirmed he'd built it.

From Julian in the last few minutes
Wow that's the first time I've seen that shot in 45 years
I built the car for Bruce Alchin of Hamilton out of a brand new body cost was $660 back in 1968 so was just a few dollars short of a new Anglia we had a 1340 engine 36 cam ex Chch went quite good for its time
One of 11 different cars that I built Over years

Cool.
I knew it was different when I spotted it way back in the 80's but I was just getting into the Falcon GT's so didn't do anything about it.

The Anglia CO6528 was driven by Terry Huxford at a Houghton Bay Hillclimb in April 1966. The caption to a photo of the car states that it was just before carrying out body modifications.

Thanks Milan, do you know if Gary and Terry shared the same car.

Found this John Lawton image of Warren Reid in the ex Francevic Anglia at Matamata There were lots of variations of getting enough clearance for the front wheels. The Dave Simpson Anglia in my opinion was the neatest
