Well everyone, first day of the New Year and on the 18th we will be at Taupo for the F5000 Historic Grand Prix.
Friday is free practice day for those lucky enough to be entered -

Cambridge Monaro John McKechnie.

1939 Chev Coupe V8 Cam Neill

Chavenger Neil Deighton

Firenza V8 Mark Allan

MK3 Zephyr V8 Bruce Goodwin

Starlet V8 Richard Quinn

Custaxie 2 Robert Bartley

Capri V8 Graham Barnes

HB Torana Adrian Dobbe

Escort V8 Robert Jack

Mazda RX8 Dennis Running

Mazda RX8 Jon Telford

Chev Monza Roger Williams

Toyota Starlet- Peter Hooper

Holden Torana SLR5000 Roger Davis

Falcon XA Coupe Bruce Thompson

Saturdays format is Qualifying, then 2 races, Sunday 2 races.
Last time we had 3 X 8 laps, bit tiring for some of the fellas , so we are having 4 X 6 lap races
There will be some gaps between the races where there will be some of our original owners reunited with their cars , non racing Historic cars and guest drivers having demos
For the Monza fans who fondly remember Red Dawson in his IMSA Monza, and have missed seeing one of these exquisite cars,Roger Williams will be running his at the only speed he drives at...it will be exciting

Hi John, would you mind including the cars alongside the drivers? Many I know, but some I don't.

Love this facebook quote from Stu who sums up the excitement for our group-
"God those cars from that era looked so good
I loved the flared guards and fat rims and the ability to be able to fit a big V8 into some impossibly small areas from that era of Motorsport"
