Whoops! Always happy to have typos corrected. The frog was anaemic... (I haven't corrected it. Lettering has worn off the keyboard - plus the fact that I am fat fingered when it comes to typing.)
Thanks to Tim at HRC, I have now submitted my media accreditation application to MSNZ, silver.

I wonder where all the ex-Donington Museum cars are now - and will we ever see some of them in public ever again?

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
That pic was 2006 Rhys. I have a feeling that 2007 was the last held. I have posted this 2007 pic before.
Auckland Council in its infinite wisdom (sic), then slapped a $5,000 fee on the venue - which at the time, was about the same as it cost to hire Pukekohe.
A real shame as although it was only about twenty odd seconds for the quicker cars, several thousand people used to spectate and of course, there was no means of collecting gate money.
A sad loss, along with the Chelsea Hillclimb - plus permanent venues that have been lost or are no longer available.
Not much happens north of the harbour bridge these days, in terms of sealed events.
When you consider that the Whenuapai Wings & Wheels often attracted in excess of 25,000 people (may have been much higher as I have heard 40,000 mentioned), we have lost some very popular events, that is, popular spectator events.

C - Specials. As mentioned, several cars have been shown before. (Not counting the fact that they have disappeared - again...) Reloaded 16:40.

F - British Ford. Needless to say, 100's! A quick check, currently 2364 filed... Posted in date order.
Chris Milner's Capri was a dominant class winner in Curborough sprints. Although effectively standard, Chris developed the suspension and handling to great effect.
Note the Singer Bantam in the background. I bought a basket case from Kevin Andrew, but it was beyond me so I sold it on.

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
Ray,
Interesting to see Dave Brodie's Escort at Mallory Park signed as David A Brodie on the door.
This is the famous " Run Baby Run" car.
" Brodie’s Ford Escort MkI was the ultimate modified sports car, called ‘Run Baby Run’. Powered by a specially modified 2.1 litre BDA engine, the car was rumoured to have won over 200 races between 1969 and 1972. This car set the fastest lap time (57.6 seconds) at Crystal Palace in 1971, a time that has never been beaten in the special saloons series (over 1300cc)."
What year was this taken ?

More Fords
1974 - 'Ford Berpop' - and just found out today, that this car actually has a connection with NZ. 'Berpop 1' started with a 1650cc engine, before acquiring V8 power. Sadly, this is the only pic I have of this car, which didn't always arrive and probably didn't often finish.
1977 - Cadwell Park. The pre '57 Classic Saloons were allowed very limited modifications but that meant they were great to watch. I have always thought that the NZ Hooters series could have had a class for limited modifications, without destroying the intent.
