Stolen car

Post by rf84 »

John Rapley's transporter was stolen from Paraparaumu last night. It is a cream coloured "pop top" caravan rego number R970S. Inside was (and hopefully still is) his Brabham single seater.
If you see transporter and/or Brabham please phone the Police or John (04) 9024862.

Made it to the NZ Herald (with photograph) so hopefully, it can be recovered as it looks to have been a targeted theft.

Any news on this?
I hope it's all resolved, even if the caravan has gone.

I am still hoping that a good result might come out, as it did with Phil Sharp's Lotus Cortina. Roaring Season had a big part to play with that.
Any news?

Always love a happy ending...

However, with more work involved, it isn't all good news.

I hope the sentences handed down to the villains are appropriate.

tis a shame the paper cannot get the story right, getaway car really. Well done to the cops for finding the car. all that is needed now is for the baddies to be put away for several years

A few years ago the Rennmax-Repco originally built for Doug Macarthur (and owned for years by the Gibsons) was stolen, taken from its trailer and driven on some rough-ish roads. Until it damaged the engine.

They do need to be treated severely.
