Yes, the Magnum Ferrari & Herbie.
The Thelma & Louise car (thanks for that) is a Ford Thunderbird, but I hadn't recognized that model Thunderbird. As I said, I'm not so good at American cars, probably because when growing up, apart from the early Corvette, driven by Sir Gawaine Baillie (sp?), then later, the Ford Galaxie and early Mustangs, we never saw many American cars around.
It was many, many years later that I saw a real Cunningham, though I did have the Dinky model.
John, the Dukes poster is probably there as one of their 'rotating' exhibits is from the Dukes.

I really don't think this needs an explanation, but a valid display car for Hollywood!
Two or three concept cars - Mercury
Dodge
Plymouth
A car that should have had a lot more success? Toyota 2000GT
There are several Harley and Indian motorbikes, but I couldn't resist a pic of this one. Note the background...

Ray- the Toyota 2000 GT was seen as a convertible- special build- for James Bond movie- You only Live Twice.
If only they had built the topless, it would have been a great seller.

For GM fans...
"De Alba covered almost every surface of El Rey with a combination of custom candy paint, chrome plating, and metal etching. The geometric design of the paintwork accentuates the lines of the car’s body, and extends into the engine compartment, trunk, and undercarriage. El Rey has been called the “pinnacle of modern lowrider culture,” and it has garnered admiration from communities both in and outside of lowriding. In addition to being named Lowrider of the Year by Lowrider Magazine for three consecutive years (2011-2013), El Rey has won awards at both SEMA and the Grand National Roadster Show."
Yes. Well...

Whilst some customised cars really appeal, some definitely do not, but those above are shown to illustrate the breadth of current exhibits, but the best is yet to come...

John, I didn't notice anything by Ed Roth.
Drool time for me...

Great lighting almost throughout make this a real joy taking photographs without any form of flash and with just a compact camera.

Still with the Italians... and a couple to inspire Chaindrive.

Within the complex, is a design studio which covered the concept drawings through to clay models and there was a bank of PC's, at least one being used by what looked like a mature design student.
The models included clays as well as these two, from Alfa Romeo and a way out Maserati.
There were also several good displays of a Maserati coming together, culminating in the finished item.

Some just have a stunning, clean, paint job,
whilst with others, you really have to admire the graphics.

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
This next set may not be a permanent exhibition, but I'm so glad it was on for our visit. Dan Gurney's AAR Eagles. Many of us can remember the debut of the first Eagle F1 car - and what a stunning car it was in terms of looks and presentation. (It looked even better once the Weslake V12 was ready - car #36 below.) It is still one of my all time favourite single seaters, from any era.

This was the first time I'd come across an Eagle Formula Ford.

Ray,
I mentioned the Eagle Formula Ford a few moons ago. That is a good looking Formula Ford. What neat photos you took. Thank you.

Different takes on alternative power units through the ages.

Galt
Fiat
McLaren - note the design studio area behind.

A couple of photographed photographs. Copyright the original photographer of course. The museum is anything but cluttered but the display of some excellent B & W shots down on floor 1 was interesting.

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
One Porsche and three Jaguars. I'm not a huge Porsche fan but occasionally, you see one that really does look impressive.
[CENTER]
The XKSS Jaguar is the ex-Steve McQueen car, originally supplied in white, but McQueen had it resprayed in BRG. I remember so well the photographs of that disasterous Browns Lane fire that wiped out the remaining XKSS Jaguars.
When I sent off to Jaguar for the usual catalogues, just after the E Type's launch, I'm sure they were the ones who sent a two page copy of the reports of the fire. Sadly, a vindictive ex-wife managed to 'lose' that and the wonderful spiral bound Jaguar catalogues, along with a fair bit of my memorabilia, including autographed photographs of Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart.

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
Maybe it is time to start shifting my books and memorabilia, as it is not my wife who would dump anything, but when I shuffle off to a waved chequered flag, various children/grandchildren are not likely to understand the difference between memorabilia with a value and junk.
Last sets are from the Bugatti display on the ground floor. The display went way beyond the cars, with examples of furniture and sculpture from the Bugatti family. We tend to think of just Ettore Bugatti, but he wasn't the only talent. His brother Rembrandt was a talented artist and sculptor and Ettore, not having the same talent, turned to engineering instead.
[CENTER]
Not sure exactly what model this is.

Ken H, " Shoe Boxes " Yep be very careful, as have a few treasures including the Spiral Bound English Language Jaguar E Type brochure from the 1962 Geneva Motor Show, when it was launched, my Uncle Ed Dowding [ of NSCC fame ] was living in Geneva at the time, and got it, he knew the BMC and Jaguar guys had a Ford Zodiac at the time and in 1970 bought the P6 3500 Rover that has been posted on TRS in a Gymkhana, with much dust and oversteer..
