Re: Levin 1956
Yes, title should be Egmont and car races
Second Levin meeting, 22/10/56
Most of the shooting is from the start of the main straight - you don't see many photos from there
Early on is one of several Rileys racing at that meeting, and Tom Doherty's V8 coupé
53 is Ian Lyllian's Wolseley and 57 Noel Bird's Javelin
We then have an unidentified Cooper 500 leading Roly Crowther (Lotus XI), Gavin Quirk (Cooper-Bristol) and Ron Roycroft (Bugatti-Jaguar); I think the next 500 is Bruce Webster's Cooper
Then Theo Dodunski's XK120 leading a TR2 and Joe Gardner's Porsche, which he drove at this meeting as well as usual pilot Alex Stringer
I think that's Dave Bransgrove spinning his Wolseley Hornet Special at the Hairpin at 1'07
I don't recognise the car tangling with Lumsden's Austin-Healey - possibly Bransgrove again
At 1'35 we have Bob Hugill leading Syd Jensen, both in Cooper 500s
Then Quirk's Cooper-Bristol in the pits (with Bruce Watt's Jowett Javelin in the background)
Ken Douglas (MG Magnette) leading N L Bryan (Simca)
The A35 will be Johnny Windelburn's
Boyd in the Buckler leading an Austin-Healey, possibly Bruce McLaren's
and Doherty's V8 coupé again at the end
