Headers done ,now exhaust system being made .
Scotty again doing the measuring, cutting,generally laying under the nice clean car, and Brian from FABTECH doing the welding.
Once again- NO mufflers or sound deadening devices fitted, just will be pure noise.

Didn't realize you had flogged my bramley axle stands John, must be hundred;s of those sold in the past, car coming along great, can't wait to see it, cheers .

Kevin- It will be at Hampton Downs 15-17 January
Car wont be competing, wont even be running.
But it will be there.
As usual our biggest enemy is time.......
BTW- you are right , definitely the best axle stands

( The Cambridge car) To me the bonnet looks dark blue rather than black but the sun is shining on it so it could be deceiving. Also the leather straps holding the bonnet shut have been dispensed with.

Photo quality is not brilliant. My camera was a Agfa Clack. About one step up from a Box Brownie.

Hi Everyone, welcome to the New Year.
I am now doing the Schedule K paperwork and was wondering if anyone had any of the Mercury Series programs from 1970 that show this cars entry. Have the pic from the events.

Here it is folks- what every well dressed Escort and grungy MK2 Zephyr used to wear.-

After the discussion on the Team Cambridge Mustang of Paul Faheys, and Kens interest in being the only Kiwi not having one on his tool box, I started looking
I have completed my research on the Boss Andy sticker.
This was started by John W Andrews Ford, May 1970 just after Ray Stone started there.
Boss synonymous with the high performance Ford Mustang, and Andy is self -explanatory.
Boss Andy follows the success of Super Roo, Road Runner, Cobra, Super Bee etc.
Staff there incuded-
Mr G Greenfield, Chris Moon ,Gerry Chambers, Bill Barlow also involved with this.
Final design was Sam Harvey and was registered as a trade mark.

Was talking to AB and he said he had something special for me to see.
This is the same amazing guy that was involved with the building of the car in 1969 and sent me up his set of Team Cambridge overalls for inspection.
I have never seen any of these Mercury Series programs before.
Rothmans involved again- see front cover.
Most important is that Spencer Black is entered to drive the Monaro number 59
Rod Coppins has already bought the Camaro

This program is for the meeting that you have Ian Peak photos for on #85.
From me-
Pic also features the legendary stock trucks from Inky Tullochs Transport, Jenkins Transport and other.
They would be there there at 6am, the punters arriving later.
Lupins were nice and long with a short distance to visit them between drinks.

What a shame we cant turn the clock back to 1970. What a fantastic group of saloons. If only motor racing was like that now.

Nope, Grady has bought the car and has entered as 13-
Rick Rimmer told me that was Gradys lucky number.
Dennis Marwood told me Grady was a number 13- some on track meetings apparently.
41- To be advised.
59- to be advised.
Obviously there were some balls still up in the air with the Cambridge V8s and the Mercury events all being each following weekend.

John Andrews Ford had better material to work with than what we had in Hamilton at Fairview Motors in 1971 when
owned by Herbie Dyke !

Most of the mustangs had expanded to 302cu in/5000cc by the look of it. This might be the meeting that John Rileys car ventilated the block in the last race, could be wrong on that though.[/color]
