ERC, thanks for the entry list have managed to get it so it can be read and copied - have attached it in this thread but was not easy as you said because of the format and I am no expert.Roger Dowding wrote:ERC, the entry list, yes please, to my email " "

from Post #30, Top picture #264 Mark Donaldson Healey 100, #148 Stephen Hill Austin Healey Sprite - events 3 and 14 Open Sports cars pre 1960.
Here is a copy of Marks car that he sent to me as an e-mail in the body of the message [ Ross Cammick photo ].poor quality, hopefully Ross can post it in good form. Must have been allowed to run in the Open Sports cars post 1960 with the TR6's Daimler SP250's and the 1968 Fiat Spyder

Re: Ardmore Reunion 1989
Here you are Roger
I noticed Mark appearing in the passenger seat of the red 100/4 in the McLaren historic cars lineup at Goodwood last weekend. Can be seen briefly on Youtube.
Mark still has this car and it is still running well. It was also my first Austin-Healey that I bought off my next door neighbour, Trevor Burnnand back in 1972. Trevor imported it from England after his OE in the 60's. I still see him occasionally and he still regrets selling it to me all those years ago. He told me he nearly bought a 100S in England , but it was a few quid dearer!! Trevor's brother Don also owned the ex John Seabrook 100M, but he sold it to buy a section on the banks of the Tamaki River, not far from the old Panmure bridge - probably a better investment today!!

fond memories
That's me on the left as a young fella. My brother and father raced at this meeting and I helped them. I remember big crowds and really cool cars.nigel watts wrote:

My brother(Richard Jnr) and father (Richard Snr) were both running Lotus cars( a 7 S4 and Cortina). Charlie Conway had the Cooper there for Stirling Moss to drive. My family and the Conway's all stayed at the track in campervans. My friend and I had to push start that Cooper a few times. My friend still says how he burnt his leg on the exhaust of the Cooper with Stirling at the wheel. I am not sure who it was in the Cooper in the photo, was it Rolly Levis?

Re: Ardmore Reunion 1989
Sorting through a filing cabinet today (trying to find my will!!!) I came across a colour negative film of the event, that obviously wasn't with the 400+ films I'd been cataloguing earlier in the year. Will scan one or two shortly. I also came across just one unmounted colour positive - yup, Austin Healey BL 4893...
Not as crisp and clear as the Ross Cammick photo above of course and possibly a bit scuffed.

Just adding pics to my 'Mix of Pics' thread. Easier to keep track of what I have uploaded if they are on one thread rather than scattered all over the place.
Re: Ardmore Reunion 1989
Great to see the photo #51, I often talk about that meeting and when I say I was on the grid beside Stirling Moss I get sideways glances so it was neat to see that photo,I was driving the Buckler MK5 for Bruce Sutcliffe

Re: Ardmore Reunion 1989
Roger,
Looks more like a Maserati 250 F and with the steel wheels it probably has disc brakes.
They were raced in Formula One from 1954 to 1960.
Stirling Moss said they were the best front engine race car he ever drove.
He won the 1956 NZGP here at Ardmore driving one.
Does anyone know the history of this gem ?

Re: Ardmore Reunion 1989
Doesn't this particular car have a link to Chris Amon? I'm sure I have seen a photograph of Chris in it and yes, a Maserati.
