Nissan Sentra GT Cup

[Sentra Racer]

I am the proud owner of one of the old Nissan Sentra GT Cup cars from back in the day and I am wondering if anybody has photos of it (or any of the other cars for that matter) and can fill me in on some more history of the car. I have been told that there was approx 40 cars built in total and that mine is possibly the most original one left surviving. My car was the yellow and blue (and still is) #20 Talley's machine driven by Robbie Francevic. Does anyone have any race result's? Does anyone know how many were actually made and does anybody know of any other survivors? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hello Sentra Racer, if it would help you , i have some in car camera footage of a race at manfield showing lots of sentras , the car that Andy Anderson & I shared in a driver change race , poor andy did not get a drive as it was rain off but proved exciting regardless [being his pine pac sentra.]...it was sent to me from Andy but on video form , you are welcome to view it or copy to disc.... Also there was a Bart Simpson....

John , Bruce Anderson sent me out first as it was raining on & off I don't think Andy was too keen to start , they fill the car up with squirt & sent me out , John mac & Gregg Murf came in under a yellow & won we climbed up to third , Andy was very happy as I scored him some good points as a 2nd driver although did not get a drive ... I found the car very easy to drive after all it was a production car with a few tweeks no biggy at all

it was an enduro but not 4 hr I do not think ...... I also don't think Jack was there ...... I raced against Jack in escort sports & xu1,s in SI super car races... Jack now lives up here in sunny BOP ps did Max race an escort ??

Hi Sentra Racer. I haven't seen your car around lately and was wondering if it had been sold. Will you be at the Manfeild Road and Track meet this Saturday? I too have a fairly original ex-Sentra Cup car and will be there racing.

I am also in the hunt for more info about what Nissan done to these cars and what others have done to them since. Nissan doesn't reply to any requests, but I have Peter Nunn from Manawatu Nissan trying to gather some intel. Other than that, I've been keeping track of any that turn up on TradeMe.etc and have gathered quite a few pictures.

As for current ones... Aaron Lysaght races one in the All Japanese Classic Series. Ross Gordon races an SR20DET'd one in the GT class during the Manfeild Winter Series. Kayne Barrie was just selling his on TradeMe after owning it for 10 years. Many have been on TradeMe in the last couple of years but not sold
