Probably was Harvey Kibble - he use to run Auto Fleet Services in Newtown

I believe that the photos from Ohakea 1961, and a number of the early Levin ones, were taken by me, and given to Barrie. No criticism, just clarifying the origin!
I'm particularly fond of the shot of Jensen changing the tyre of his 3.8 Jaguar on the hairpin. Wouldn't get away with that these days!

Hey guys, I have to bare my soul here. I went to primary school with Johnny Mansels daughter at Fairbuirn Rd school in Otahuhu back in the 50's. Of course he was Mr Mansel then and I followed his every race because I fell in love with his daughter, Jenny at the tender age of 6-1/2 yrs of age. But as time goes on things change, but apart from the distraction of his daughter he was very forthcoming about his race cars and what this was and what that was and if you did this these things these were the consequences. Nice man, but I'm biased because I had a fancy for his daughter. Often wondered from time to time where she did end up.. Another racer taken well before his time.
