You never know! By 2070 you may well be able to live to 123 years old quite easily...you will probably look like shit, forget the "important" stuff the wife tells you and wanna pee every 20 minutes......but that not much different to what my wife says is happening already

You will have to stop drinking that beer with the female hormones in it
Hey Crunch, if we could live to that age and the only problem was peeing every 20 minutes, reckon I could adjust to that, just would have to shorten races to be with in the time and way we go, just see the boys hopeing out with their litttle bag and heading to dump hole. (some do it now)

Very well done John, I'm super excited to see the car run after all these years.
Thanks for you phone call last night, it was much appreciated. See you tomorrow for a weekend of memories that'll last a life time.

These are the troublesome hood pins.
Top pics show how they should be at road speed.
Bottom two show problems of using reproduction stuff.
Bottom right pic- the pin that goes through came out in the first race allowing drivers bonnet to lift.
Bottom right - third race, outer ring gave way coming out of bottom sweeper in last lap causing pass side of bonnet to lift.
Bottom right again-fourth race, bottom sweeper, head tore off pin, causing drivers side of bonnet to lift
Have now effected permenant repair.

Hell Crunch - I am having those problems now. Well maybe not quite 20 minutes as yet. LOL At least we are still enjoying life and getting all excited about seeing old cars on track again. Wonder at times, what the younger generation will get all excited about.

Dont know where you came up with that bit of trivia John, checked some Formula Ford speeds on mylaps just for the hell of it....
Timaru 130.99, H.D. 132.311, Teretonga 148.744..... looks like you might have to punch a couple of new holes for the dog collars if you ever venture south... at least its got a long enough straight to catch your breath!!!

Well I was going to add........damn.....back soon, just going for a leak!
Got Barry out on the track for 4 laps at 8am this morning. Battery gave problems yesterday, changed battery, no probs today from that. Went out in race 1 and on 2nd lap , one belt broke and threw other 2. Contacted Shane and Fraser , and they bought over Gordons 3 belts , fitted them, and completed first race - 2 pre laps. 8 race laps and slow down lap. Plugs are a problem, Andrew Metford is out getting the correct ones and giving to me tonight. Have arranged for some laps at 8 am to test them. Graeme Addis went out in the 2nd race, was really coming on to some speed in the corners as well as the straights and these 2 cars looked great circulating. Adrian Dobbe HB Viva had a very satisfying battle with Cam Сrawford -XA Coupe- both really cooking. Shane Johnson was definitely enjoying this class with entertaining battles with Dennis Running. Robert Jack was a class act definitely dominating. Understood Ken Smith was out in Ivan Selaks Escort- correct?
Update on Today- This morning , it was a great grid- and the weather was very kind all day with no rain spoiling everyones fun. We had George back after replacing 2 front suspensions- great commitment her to the fans, take a bow George. Also son George was running the later Mustang in Touring. Roger Davis was back , but found the gearbox had split leaking oil- car sidelined,. Later he very kindly let Barry have a rocker stud for the Monaro. Adrian Dobbe was going for it again, Graeme Addis was also doing some serious running getting better each time. Barry was keeping up , but broke a rocker stud. The Escorts , Toyota, XA Coupe were entertaining the crowd. Dennis Running was giving it death with Shane and Robert till he withdrew near the end. Later that day , field was very thin, as Adrian had broken the Viva gearbox, Gordon Burr had the Escort not start with fuel probs, Addis Charger sat, George went out for a test in the demonstration, just before the race , but had electrical prob.Jon Marslin, Cam Crawford had to leave early. Didnt see Dennis Running there also. Poor Roy Bingley was having continual problems with his diff hitting the floor. Robert Jack took the 2nd win for the day, Shane Johnson second with David Sexton third, Steve in the Toyota and Barry. I salute all the guys who took part, it was a pleasure looking after each and every one of you And a huge thanks to the Historic racing Club and track management who absolutely gave every assistance necessary to all of us. Our flaggie Malcolm even retrieving Barrys 3 belts from the track for us- dedication. As coordinator I awarded Adrian Dobbe the Sportsman Award for this class for his sheer dedication and commitment to Sports Sedans. It was great fun and we will talk about doing it again.
