This one I think was from a Kerepehi near the current milk factory a straight sprint about 1962-63 or so. Would the name Cranch sound right? does anyone know?

This one is from a Hill climb at Bombay. Didn't see the driver..Morrie Smith perhaps just a wild guess? just not sure about 1961-1962 I think? He flew into the corner but disappeared out of sight behind a hill!! I should have checked that the driver was not underneath it! Its not Chamberlin Rd.

Ivan Cranch had Maserati 6CM around this time. Had a Jaguar 3.4 motor which Jim Boyd drove occasionally [from the G Vercoe book]

This (post #3) looks like the A40 Special (which I now have). Around 1961/62 it was owned by Keith Smith who had it both before and after Chris Amon owned it.

Here's a picture of the car in happier times.

Image

I gather it is Graham Harvey at an Ivan Whale's Quarry hillclimb - off Panama Rd Mount Wellington. I am not sure where I downloaded or scanned this picture from (2 or 3 years ago), but it just occurs to me now that Roger H might know! If I'm trespassing on someones copyright I humbly apologise.

Would the other photo be at the top corner at Chamberlain Road?

I guess the reason readers don't know who these cars are is that the drivers are all on the wrong side of the grass now? :)
