Don Bradley RIP

Post by Michael Clark »

Long time Alfa Romeo racer Don Bradley has succumbed to his long battle with the dreaded C.

We Old Fart FFers got to know him when he joined our ranks with a Crossle 30F that he'd done a beautiful job of rebuilding.

His funeral is in Auckland on Thursday afternoon.

So sad. He tried to drive at our meeting earlier this year and struggled to use the brakes, so that may have been the last time out on the track.
RIP.

Learnt of Don's passing on Friday evening at the Alfa Romeo AGM in Wellington. Left a sad feeling over the weekend. Don was Past President and a Life Member of AROCNZ. Last saw and spoke to Don at our May Madness Meeting at Manfeild. He was just to tired to drive his race car at that meeting. Sadly missed, RIP Don.

Yes Don will be sadly missed. He loved his racing and was a gentleman on and off the track.
The funeral is 3.30 at Snapper Rock on Thursday.

Great turn out of Alfas and the motorsport fraternity this afternoon. A very emotional time for those very close to him. A good send off but as someone said, he would have hated the fuss and being the centre of attention.
