Nice work there John
Nice to see some more progress photos. I am enjoying the historical stuff, but the resto photos are whats keeping me following this. Love the earlier photos of the car in Cambridge colours - Im not really a GM guy, but the proportions of that car are just right, and noise that SB Chev will make with those Webers will just be the icing on the cake

Great updates John. I still kick myself every time I think about this car! Are you going to run the down-draught carbs or side-draught?

Re: Team Cambridge Monaro
Doesn't matter if its down-draughts or side-draughts, this car raced with both, so either option is correct. Pure porn either way! Do you have to cut a hole in the bonnet for the carbs?

John, When I was a commitee member of the ESCC back in the 70's we had a guy by the name of Dave or David Sharp who was a traveller for Cambridge etc cigarettes, had the HR/HD Holden wagon in cambridge colours as company vehicle ( often see it parked beside tent in some of Ian Peaks pics here ), dont know if he is still around but I do remember him owning/driving one of the early Graeme Lawrence single seaters at early classic events @ Q/town & Ruapuna ( also in Cambridge colours ), someone here might also know him, bet he would still have some memorabilia from that career.
