Potty cracks it

Post by Michael Clark »

Ace snapper Bill Pottinger's photos are a highlight of TRS but he has now cracked the big time. Four of his shots feature in the latest issue of 'Motor Sport' - and in the world of classic motor racing, you can't go bigger or better than that.

I know people who would be over the moon to have their work in Motor Sport - and not only has Bill managed it, the magazine tells us that there is more of Potty's work to come!

Having grown up in the deep South watching Bill at work and enjoying his images then, it's even better the second time around. Great news he is recognised by an illustrious magazine such as MotorSport, well done that man.

It looks like MotorSport lifted it straight from the pages of TRS. I hope you got paid Bill!

Thankyou all very much for your kind thoughts and support guys, a friend originally from the deep south (Alan Johnstone) sent the photos to Gordon Cruickshank at MotorSport about a year or so ago and I never heard any more until now.
I think it is best if enthusiasts can enjoy the photos and memories rather than them be left sitting in my garage.
I have Michael Clark to thank for introducing me to The Roaring Season.
Steve, keep up the good work!!
Cheers
Bill P.
