I did a actually go through this one time just about frame by frame and identified I believe a lot of the cars and some of the folks in it ,I think it was taken by a Taranaki person perhaps because there appeared to be a lot of focus on some of the cars from that era

I will have to check and see if I still have the notes I made ,the big red coupe was a chap by the name of Ibbotson from New Plymouth ,the film is not very clear even when viewed slowly ,the Anglia is I believe one of our Silver Fern racing team cars from that year,I will try and have another look when time allows

David ,I will go back and have another look at it ,I found it very hard to ascertain who was who and I had to go on ,a lot of it from memory of that day and as we all know that is getting a bit dim at times

They were going too fast for me
I could have got a few of the saloons with a bit of effort
I suspect there might have been a production saloon race in there somewhere?
