Yes, speedway saloons at Stratford Speedway, known as Bill Taylor.
Try the Taranaki Historic Speedway Ass. Inc. PO Box 4052, New Plymouth.

I have nothing in my files other than a couple of mentions in the Taranaki Stock Car Club 20 years of Stratford 1964-1984 book. It was the very early days of speedway saloon car racing in NZ. I can find no mention of type of car, or car number. He did race in the Stratford team against Forest Lake in the 1969/70 season, and won the Saloon Season points Champioship at Stratford that season.
Maybe if I can find a car number more information or photos can be found.

These photos were taken in 1970, there were only 15 saloons registered at Stratford in 69/70, so I guess he is one of these cars, but numbers are almost imposible to make out. In the second photo there is an Anglia that could be #8.
