Hi Grant
No it's my blue Mini Clubman GT, but the colour is hard to make out as it's an old photo of Ross's.
Must get you a copy of my book, there are some people in it that you will know!!

Re: Tasman Series Memoirs 1968-71
Yes it is Ross!
I thought I was seeing things when I saw that photo of your Datsun 1200 and my Mini Clubman GT at my parents place at Otatara after being in a Castrol GTX race at nearby Teretonga.!!
Great times!!
Best Wishes
Bill Pottinger

Others will know exactly when he kicked off Motor Action but perhaps 1972/73ish? He was the classic all-rounder in as ...

Re: Photos: The Bill Pottinger Collection - Part 3
I enjoyed #24 of Laurence Brownlie in his (then) new Brabham having its first try-out at Teretonga. I remember taking the photo quite clearly. It was a mid-week day in Nov 1967, and as a 15 yr old I biked out to Teretonga after school with my (Dad's) camera and crouched in a ditch on the outside of ...

[quote="Steve Holmes"]Nice shot here of Piers Courage, in the BRM in 1967 at Teretonga, which Courage also signed for Bill. Here is Bill's description of this one: "Piers Courage tests the third (spare) BRM during practice for the 1967 Teretonga International. Courage started the race from 5th place ...

Re: Potty cracks it

Did you run in any car at any time?
Hi John
I ran in Sth Is races and rallys during mid to late 70s, in an Aussie mini clubman GT, Datsun 1200 and Escort Mk1 1600, fairly low-key.

Thanks Rod
It is good to be able to share the photos rather than leave them in a corner of the garage!!
It is great that they are appreciated. 45 odd years since they were taken but it doesn't seem that long ago really.
Cheers
