Love this era of motorsport. Its the raw "almost anything goes" concept that appeals.
I wonder where all of these cars are now? I know some have been resurrected and are back racing, some are no more, but there must a lot stored away in owners garages...

People are starting to sell them on Facebook. In fact someone recently was selling a complete tan interior that looked in good condition.

The studio was in Nikau St in Auckland. I remember seeing the actual car on a trailer parked out front. In fact at the beginning of the movie they are racing around Eden terrace where the studio is/was. I'm trying to collect old 70's car movies like Bullit, American Graffiti, Two Lane Blacktop ...

There is a closed Facebook group called NZ MX5's. There are about 4,000 members and you can buy a lot of second hand parts through there.
