I have just revisited this thread after many moons and although I haven't had a chance to read all of the posts, I wonder if anyone has thought to contact Rod Tempero in Oamaru. If anyone knows what a Ferrari GP chassis looks like it would he Rod and his team. They have probably built a couple.

That is a fantastic looking car and will be a great addition to the grids.

Looking good Dale - it is easy to see the work that goes into a car when you see such photos.

Looking at the different colours that appear from the different photos - can see why some people get sidetracked.

Another garage to work in - hope you have a bit more room to complete that great looking Falcon.

I wholeheartedly agree Howard, without the tremendous amount of work put in by the Directors and all other helpers we would not have progressed as far as we have. I am sure that the racing we provided over that weekend will have impressed a lot of people and we can only go forward from here. Thanks ...

Nigel those photos are great especially the ones showing the Monaro on track with the HSC cars. Thank you John for allowing it to race with those Escorts, Capris and the other small capacity cars from that era.

Really beautiful Paul. When all of the parts, in their different colours, start going back in it really brings everything else into focus. Is the engine ready to go in - it looks pretty smart too.

Imagine if you had some coin and went along to that auction. Mouth watering collection.

It is hard to imagine what that car would have been like if the Porsche engine was available at the time. Still it will always hold a special place in NZ motorsport. Looking forward to the book Steve and getting your signature in it.

These two photos were taken at Baypark in October 1968 and were one of the first occasions the twin cam Ford Escorts raced in NZ. When that car first arrives at a circuit the people will be standing round admiring all of the work that we have read about over the rebuild time. Lovely work mate.
