Re: Article: Hollywood Sport Cars McLaren MkI
Steve, here are a few neat "Hollywood Sport Cars" bits that are also linked to McLaren 20/09. First, here is a Friedman Collection photo from the garages at the 1966 Times Grand Prix (Riverside Can-Am). The Hollywood Sport Cars McLaren lost multiple Ford engines this weekend. Jim Adams in Riverside ...

Re: Article: Hollywood Sport Cars McLaren MkI
What is the induction set-up in the pic that has Doug Hooper #91 driving ? It looks interesting. I've asked Harvey Lasiter, who owned the car at this time, what induction set up this was. Harvey could only note that it was something that Doug Hooper made up. My gut ...

The second shot is that of the victory lap, with Adams celebrating with Chic's kids. Is that Cris up front Chad? This is Cris Vandagriff and his sister taking the victory lap with Jim Adams at Santa Barbara. When I first showed Cris this photo he mentioned that this ...

Note also the car is now running as #39, rather than Spencer's favoured #55. Do you know why this came about Chad? Number 55 was Jim Adam's doing. Jim used #55 in his MGA, the HSC MGB, the HSC Tiger, and the HSC McLaren. I asked Cris Vandagriff for his thoughts and he ...

Steve, I'd be happy to pay, but I don't know that I would if I didn't already know what great content and community was within. Because of that, I'd think you'd want to let the non-member see a bit of the site, to entice them into a membership. Without it, I fear that it will be difficult to attract ...

Though I gather that is not the car that went to New Zealand, this bit about "1964 Eisert Indy Car Serial #1" may be of interest to those following this thread.

Re: 1965 SCCA Santa Barbara Road Races.
Hello Steve, If racingsportscars entry for this Santa Barbara race is accurate, the #54 Sunbeam that appears at the 3:00 mark, was an Alpine running in F-Production. Owner and driver is listed as George Cheyne. I'll hope that Jerry Entin chimes in here, but he confirmed he was driving the #78 ...

Re: 1965 SCCA Santa Barbara Road Races.
You're right. I should have watched the whole thing. 1965 coverage is definitely near the end. The Hollywood Sport Cars Sunbeam Tiger, shows up as a blip near the same segment, and that made it's debut in 1965.
Thanks for catching that.

Re: 1965 SCCA Santa Barbara Road Races.
Outstanding video! Thanks for posting the link.
Hopefully Jerry Entin will pipe in soon, but this would appear to be a 1963 or 1964 Santa Barbara Road Race.
We can also hope the YouTube poster will have some other years and events to post for our enjoyment.
Thanks again.

Such a great car. I really enjoy seeing unique and powerful engines stuffed into a charming little shell. Though I didn't know of this car prior to seeing it offered for sale, back in August, I've done as much querying as the web will let me to find out more. It was nice to hear more about it on The ...
