Re: First Post

I also competed in the Production Supercar class back approx 1980 in a Green E49 Charger with Dad who at that stage had an XB Falcon and uncle Trevor McLean who also had an E49 and then a Holden Commodore. If anybody has any Pics of my E49 they would also be greatly appreciated. Hi Steve, Was your ...

Heres a couple of the E38 he raced. Unsure of a date for these two or who was drving on this day but the car looks pretty fresh at what looks like a time trial / hill climb? http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/BigTankE48/527a.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/BigTankE48/527b.jpg

Sorry I cannot credit the photographer as I dont know who it was. Got these ones of the E49 from off the web. It may also be after Rod's time with this car? http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/BigTankE48/IMG_000721.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/BigTankE48/RT391.jpg

Awesome photo Bruce, haven't seen that one before. I can confirm that E49 is alive and has been very well cared for.

I have a couple of this car so will post up.

Re: Team Cambridge Monaro

For J42E38-Tim Slako was racing that day and came 6th in his Mini Cooper S. What day / meet was that? I was more referring to the whole 72 season for the Production Touring Cars, which both Mullins and Slako campaigned in E38's for most if not all the races. Both chargers had kiwi logos on the ...

Re: Rod Coppins

Great thread for a great driver.

Be great to see some photos of his time in the Chargers - an E38, an E49, and perhaps even a brief stint in a VJ E48.

Tim Slako raced an E38 in the 72 season of the WA Production Series along with another fellow Kiwi, Jim Mullins.

Interesting thread.

Crichton obviously liked his lime green cars as I own a lime green E48 Charger which he ordered from new.

Great to hear it still lives. Be interesting to find out which one it is. From my own register I have a missing space for a hemi orange with tan E49, body number 1153.
