Re: Pete Geoghegan's Porsche Sports Sedan At Bay Park NZ
In Aussie he raced a 911 in 1974 and a 911S in 1976, so that may narrow it down Steve.

That`s the ex John Hayman HQ Monaro originally from Waikaraka Park Steve - there`s another photo of it amongst those photos I sent you. I think that Monaro ended up with HJ/HZ Holden front panels and was raced by Bill Dorn at Palmerston North although this one was RHD whereas Dorns one was LHD.

So if we still have/had a 2015 NZIGP would or did the winner of that race this year receive ~$70,000.00? Obviously not Jac Mac, but the point I was making about `that era' was the calibre of the overseas guys competing in the NZIGP ..... most of todays F1 show ponies would ...

Its all relative to the that era Allan. If you look at how much a Maserati 250F cost then, to what one is worth today, it puts it in perspective $$$ wise .....

Yeah Tony, that's when Ray Chatfield had it prior to me buying it. I`ve known Dutchie for many years and since buying that business in the late `90s he has built it into a multi truck successful operation. The Waikaraka Park pits look a lot different now compared to when you took these photos .....

Re: Old Speedway Photos
That`s me in #76 Tony, it was the ex Bruce Harris/ Ray Chatfield car. Both the top photos were from a `probables/possibles' Auckland teams race. Peter Botma was a flag racer, so I needed to `educate ' him. He hurt his wrist so they got him out of the car ....... Dutchie, who runs Brian Roberts ...

Re: New Zealand Historic Muscle Cars Under HRC
This race car is a hell-off a deal at $19500USD, infact I doubt its still available(but please check) I see this Mustang is on the east coast in Connecticut(probably under 6 foot of snow at the moment), I have good contacts with the owner of Cobra Automotive so if anyone is keen here in NZ I can ...

Re: Taupo Motorsport Park
I suppose the downside of one guy having a race track in each island is it eventually creates another division amongst the core of NZ motorsport competitors and punters alike. While it is good to race at tracks with great facilities, if those tracks are run as a business - which obviously they are ...
