Re: F1 and the crackdown on team radio communications
I think it's a good thing..I find it annoying how in the Supercar coverage the commentators are listening in to the team radios and broadcasting all the info. It makes for good entertainment I suppose but I enjoyed the old days with pit boards and shut up and drive what you've got!!

Re: Cars that famous people owned - that surprised you!
Think Denny drove a Chevette only because he had to-seem to remember him advertising/endorsing them in TV ads. I was present at Manfield on one occasion when Denny rocked up at the pit entrance gate in said Chevette and without his pit pass. The exchange between Denny and the marshall on the gate ...

Re: New Zealand OSCA Database - Histories And Whereabouts
Hi Spinner, thats great but it would have been the cars previous owner Craig chasing you. I doubt my car has the history you mention as it's factory LHD though I wish it did! My vague history of the car was that it was a rally car before being rebuilt as a circuit car. Someone out there will fill in ...

Re: Photos: 1985 Wellington Street Race Photos
I would agree with you about Ken Smith having this car. it was also raced by Croz and Lew McKinnon, Graeme Lorimer,Warren McKellar and Richard Gillies and must have been one of the higher mileaged Grp A cars in New Zealand.. I remember being told by Lew it was quite special with a very low chassis ...

Sad news indeed, I wish Tony a speedy and complete recovery. Also it's sad to think the car is destroyed, it has always been one of my favorites... Wayne.

Not having parking at the track for spectators takes away another part of the experience. I enjoyed travelling up from Wellington to go to the big meetings and spent a bit of time with mates wandering through the car park checking out some of the rare , exotic and cool cars that were parked up. The ...

Cool car and I loved the movie...I saw it as a wide eyed 10 yr old in Nelson at movies... From what I've read there were two cars built and one was definately a very fast car. Rick Figari the guy who also owns the Graffiti 32' and 55' has the feature Camaro as well , that being the car that was used ...
