Re: Highlands Festival of Speed Easter 2014

RE: XA GT Coupe. Chassis/Rego states it is a 72 car. RPOs were mid 73 build. Therefore not RPO....maybe RPO specs. My last info on the Lloyd car was that it was in the SI under restoration....quite possibly this may be the car (no LH mirror, body protection mouldings, rear spoiler etc) . Looks very ...

Re: Ford Sierra RS Cosworth/RS500

Stunning job, well done!!! What events is Brett going to run it in? Would be a great fit in the Historic Touring Car class, as they allow replicas, and that is certainly one of the better ones! Conrad Hi Conrad....it will be tidy, basically look like a car that has raced all its life but been ...

Bathurst next weekend so I thought I would post a pic.

Car just back from signwriters...1992 Bathurst livery. Still a lot of work to do but at least it looks the part now.

Re: NZ GTHO Phase 3's that raced in Production Series....

Thanks Ellis, great work! Yes I think the Brocklehurst car must be the Jewel Green one in your list. I believe its been returned to this colour once again. This car was featured in either NZ Driver or Classic Car magazine a year or so ago. Was green...then white.....then green. Located in Nelson ...

Re: NZ GTHO Phase 3's that raced in Production Series....

I think Tom Grace owns that car now, its in bits, The elec blue/saddle trim P3 (who the owner told me was ex JR) was in the lower South Island. I know the location and owners name but will not publish them here on a public forum. The car was in great original condition and was still being used. I ...

Hi Ellis Here are a couple of pics of Gary's (I gather he still owns it) P3. I am sure you can tell us more about it. A stunning car. I sat in the ex Jim Richards P3 a couple of years ago and it is in great original condition. Both cars a credit to there owners. http://i571.photobucket.com/albums ...

Re: Ford Sierra RS Cosworth/RS500

Brilliant photos. Where is the first photo taken? Also, why is DJR 2 white? The note on my DJR1 photo says Donington 2005. DJR2's history is a bit of a mystery. It last racecar use was as a tarmac rally car. The owner must have been extremely happy to find out it was a DJR car. It appears to have ...

Re: Ford Sierra RS Cosworth/RS500

Re: the Promo? car in Tassie Museum, here is a pic of it. It seems to have "knockoff" wheels and a cage but the rest of car looks standard (standard Sierra bonnet, mirrors, wipers, no fuel dump fittings etc). My guess it is a promo car? Maybe Ellis has some info as it is in his neck of the woods ...

7 spoke DJRs look pretty good with fresh coat of paint. For the trainspotters there were 2 different castings of the DJR rims.

I went and I will put on spectators hat and say it was the best Supercar meeting I have been to in NZ. Security/Gatepeople were awesome and could not be more polite. You were allowed to bring drink and food in aok. Sitting in the grandstand (as I have for every V8 event I have been to) I was ...

Talking about the side cars. The No95 bike had as the swinger, his wife!!!!! Joanne. Had a chat to her afterwards, as I had been talking to her Father in Law about the bike beforehand. That couple were really giving it everything......3 wheel drifts on the left-hand bends where the swinger really ...
