Cars were here at the same time remember it well one of the cars had a cartoon of a child with a meat cleaver with it finger cut off car was called the butcher. I was in the pits one of the American driver was try to pull a local drivers pant down "to see how hairy these kiwis are"

Hi George yes I saw the photos years ago in a book about Jim Richards . Being local I figured that was the shed.

The shed in Takanini where the Mustang was built still exists on the cnr of Mill and Airfield Roads . Would make a cool photo with the restored car.

Once the others see you guys running the momentum will build . These are some of the most exciting race cars ever run in NZ I cant wait to see them on the track again.

The Yellow coupe was a dirt track car and was later bought by Wade Foy he used the body to build a drag car . When it was racing on the dirt it had a GMC six . Wade powered it with a BB chev c/w blower and injection .I think it is still around in the hands of George Moulden. The name Rodger List ...

It was at least a roller could have been 1978,79 house was on corner of reeves and udys road you could see into the back yard driving along reeves road.

I saw the sleepyhead capri in a backyard on Reeves road in Pakuranga around 1980. From memory the body moulds were there too.
