Re: John Osborne
Many of you wont realise that the RX7 was a USA sourced car, acquired by Bob Slade who packaged it up and sent it over from California. John built the car up from scratch as it was ex road car body shell when he received it. It was always left steer, at the time there were very few on NZ's roads.

Russ Cunninghan is unable to post a eulegy
I knew he was close to passing but nevertheless still a shock. I am hoping Russ Cunningham will post a eulogy because he was a very close friend of David's, stayed with Dave in UK. Both guys had (or in Russ's case have) a huge cache of NZ Motorsport history. A great loss. Unfortunately Russ ...

Re: Roll cages
Ray's saying is very appropriat, given the negative, no comprimise attitudes he and others are dealing with, regarding cages, MSNZ employee's in his attempt to get something that is stronger than those recomended by MSNZ, but cannot be certified.Mr Silcock is another one in the same position.

If you look at photos from the recent Phillip Island meeting, advertised and run as an Historic car meeting, you will find interesting fields of well mixed and matched classes running together. I grew up through the V8 era, started like many with Hotrodding, evetually went on to help on the ex ...

Re: Roll cages
Ray, you are only one of many with thoughts of getting away from motorsport, sadly there are 100's who have already taken that course of action. I know of 5 that wouldn't complete scrutineering, deciding in the heat of the moment to withdraw their cars from competition there and then and leave the ...

Re: Roll cages
The point I am making is that the issue is not new, many people are not prepared to go back to MSNZ as it seems to them to be like bashing ones head against a brick wall. Many just find an alternative form of recreation to participate in, something that is user friendly, without major obsticles to ...
