Nissan Mobil Brock Sierra Pic's Required

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has photos of the Brock Miedecke Sierra from the December 1990 Nissan Mobil series. I have a project happening at the moment and wanted images of as it ran in Wellington and Pukekohe. Any angle shots including the door Nissan Mobil signage would be great as I only ...

Re: Racing Capri's - photo thread

This car was built and raced by the gentleman in the photo and raced under 'Destitute Racing'. (just see it on screen). He originally raced in Taupo and was quick. It had Holden engine etc., sold car to Jennifer Mossman who was very quick in it as well and then Built the Viva ran for awhile then ...

Re: Photos: January 1987 Wellington Street Race

[quote="Steve Holmes"] I may well have my wires crossed, but I thought I was told, or that I read, that the OXO Supercube Cosworth raced in the early part of the 1987 ATCC by Don Smith was a converted XR4Ti. This car was rolled by Smith, and re-shelled. The damaged shell was sold to Mike Ceveri, and ...

I haven't even tried to date this one yet or even identify the driver/car! Possibly December 1984?

That's right Marty, the donor car was the LHD AWA Clarion Mk1, used the rack & pedal box out of it,

Re: Ford Escort

I suspect that would be from 1980 or 81. The Escort was built up by Rod Collingwood who lost his sponsor and could not develop it, so he sold it to Mark Rutherford. This car then became the donor shell for Bob Homewoods Escort Sports Sedan. Think you will find the Rutherford Mk2 was built at Reg ...

Totally agree, they are great photos BMCBOY, It was a great era of racing to be involved in......... interesting season working with Ross Cheever, from Davy Jones pancing him in the main street of Auckland, cobbling an engine together out of bits at Randell Edgell's for the GP meeting at Puke (which ...

I'm pretty sure in "86" Graham ran Pye on one car and Ignis Fridges on the other for the Gold Star .

Xmas Dinner 6 2 tops I'd say I remember CD was a struggle to fit in the chassis, BMW sent him out to do the series, they had arranged 2 brand new engines from Cosworth but they were way down on power compared to Jennings etc. The chassis was leased from Andrew Miedecke, the late Bruce Cary ...

Years later I ended up with that imp shell and was in the process of rebuilding it and putting a rotary in the back ...
