Re: New Zealand Mallock U2 race car history search
No its not a Mallock. I am sure it was the one owned by Warwick Tweedy. he bought it to one race meeting not long after he purchased it and I am not aware of it racing again. I was sure Warwick said it was built by John Mines but other people on facebook have said its not the John Mines car.

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
Being a former Mallock owner I am very interested in the Badger special which has an uncanny resemblance to a Mk 6 Mallock.I recall a similar car in the NZ Sports Car club in the early years. Does anyone have any history on it.

Still have that little alloy leather covered seat believed to have come from the sports car body. Don't know what to do with it but it remains my part of that fantastic cars history. Graeme Banks

Re Post #82 and #84 Having owned a few Fiat 500s over the years, including the Abarth one that I still have, I decided to track down the Willls 6 hr Fiat 500. A registration check showed its last owner was a person in BeachHaven. A drive past revealed it was in a carport with a broken windscreen. A ...

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
Ray, Enjoyed your photo of the Austin Sevens and MGs at the Chelsea Hill Climb. Austin BL5577 is a factory Austin Nippy. I bought it in 1964 as my first car and sold it four years later. Many years ago I found it again and bought it back. It has also run a few times in the Roycroft event at Hampton ...

Re: Article: Miss Victorious
Great to see those photos of Greg Lancaster and Tony Kriletich with Greg's Victor. In the Mid 1960s I worked with both Tony and Greg in a Government Department. Many of the staff had Kriletich modified cars. Tony was a demon on head mods and car crazy staff used his skills. Interesting Jack Nazer ...

Re: Just A Mix Of Pics - Ray Green Collection
Ray the Magnette wasn't cheap but its being enjoyed by its new owner (geebeenz) who may yet put it around Hampton Downs. Graeme Pity so many pre '61's have been scrapped, particularly the very cars you need, as restoration was uneconomic. Restoring a Mk2 Jag is expensive, but worth it. Restoring a ...

Ivan Cranch
Sad to report that Ivan Cranch passed away yesterday. Ivan raced a 6CM Maserati in the 1960s and was also remembered for his Jaguar powered Ford Consul. I only knew Ivan in his later years when he had restored a lovely Alfa Duetto Spider and later his Lotus 6 and Vintage Riley. He was also well ...

For those of you who don't know what a Daihatsu 360 is. 26 Years ago I bought my 16 year old son one. I took him to a Fiat Club Gymkhana and he beat me. Such gratitude

Dale thanks for bringing that up. Stuart was my second cousin. Although he was only three years younger than me his father was my cousin. In 2013 a friend of mine said he was going to do an article about Stuart for a magazine and so I did some more research. The internet is an amazing thing and so I ...

Re: Racing on Sunday's in NZ
Perhaps one of our historians with 1970s NZIGP programs could help. The 72 GP was held on 8/1/72 a Saturday and the 75 GP was held on 12/1/75 a Sunday. I have a date of 9/1/73 for the 73 GP but that was a Tuesday so cant be right and I cant find a date for the 1974 GP which was held at Wigram ...

I don't know how we got from this fantastic Willys tribute car to Renault 750s but amongst my old Hot rod mags is a picture of Johns VW powered 750. I believe it did mid 16s at MereMere which is not too bad for a small car. I owned one in 1966 but it wasn't that quick Kevin, Think John Windleburn ...

Like some of the other postings on here my cousin and I wrote to various car companies when we were at school. I remember my cousin getting a big parcel of brochures from Rolls Royce. I was a bit different and wrote to Daf in Holland, Saab in Sweden and Pegaso in Spain. I got brochures from Daf and ...
