I thought this may be of interest following the Ford 429 Boss mustang discussion. On pump gas the engine produced just over 700HP.

Re: NOS vintage 12v Stewart Warner fuel pumps - set of 2
Hi, Paul,
I could sell one for $400, the one which has a light smell of petrol, I think the guy I purchased from must have tested it. That is the one I would sell, otherwise would like to sell as a pair.
Thanks Colin

429 Boss Nascar engine on dyno
Hi Guys
Just thought I would post a link to my 429 Boss genuine Nascar engine on the dyno at Brennan Motorsports. It has been fully balanced etc and tuned for pump gas. It will be going into a Tasca 429 clone once the car is completed.

Rod was driving the Zephyr Corvette at Pukekohe when it had another major engine failure. After replacing a blown engine with a new corvette short block the cam gear failed causing damage to valves etc. This is when I thought bugger it and sold it all to Spinner Black. Re: 69 429 Boss Nascar race engine
The engine will be going into a 70 429 boss clone. At present it has a component 429 boss motor, the car is about to have a nut and bolt restoration. The nascar engine was built by Holman Moody the so called experts with these and Jimmy Tucker was their man. I thought it would have been neat to have ...

Re: Rod Coppins
Hi Guys, I was timed at a flying sprint meeting at Taupo at 158 mph. Pretty hairy as pine trees were only a few feet from the track and the car wasn't exactly aerodynamic. I think i was sort of relieved when the clutch packed up. When they changed the rules we had to fit the exhausts down into large ...

We owned and raced the car for a few years. My friend Ken Bailey drove the car at Pukekohe and Keith and I ...
