I was very privileged to be invited by him to look through his archives of the history of the car, and subsequently to show long ...

Re: Dunedin Street Races - revival meeting January 1984

I have been having a look at the fastest lap times, it makes interesting reading. eg Johnnie Windelburn's time in the Sports Car race would have been fastest of all in the Championship race by1.8 seconds. Re: Velocity Invitational. Sonoma Raceway. November 10-12 2023.

Funny you should say that Greg. It's an American car! Personally I find most of the cars of that period very appealing. A car stylist I met once said the cars that appeal remind you of a shapely lady lying on her stomach, the rise over her breasts and buttocks always make for good looks, as long as ...

Some Groups are smaller such as Can Am and Formula but the racing is still good and tight.

Roger, the results sheet you have posted actually shows 6th overall (7th column) 4th on price index and 2nd in class. I never heard Robbie , with either surname variety, known as Bob!

Re: Is classic racing going to survive in NZ?

not sure where you're looking, but at the classic meeting at Levels last weekend in november there were plenty of machines, i'd say floating on 200 that did laps. Classic racing is booming, I have noted that the South Island events are well supported. Perhaps the allusion to circuit costs have ...

Re: New Zealand Tourist Trophy and other NZ Motorcycle Races

JW, a quote from you 14th Oct "There was also road races held at Seagrove prior to this meeting too." Were these held on the roads at Seagrove, or on the airfield? What qualifies as "Road Races", I visited a number of the Northern Ireland road venues apart from being insane, they have to be on roads ...

Of course Ray, I was thinking of the Railton. I must get down to Beaulieu, I need to see the Gordon Bennett Napier up close. Nobody replies to emails asking if it's on display.

There are literally hundreds of look alike Trotter Reliants in the UK, and all claim they are correct.
