Re: Motoring Books - including your bookshelf.
ERC mentioned a few posts ago on this thread ; Re ;" Once again I seem to have had a brain fade as I now have two copies of the hefty Robert Edwards book on Stirling Moss. I bought this latest one on the internet and lugged it back from England last year, not realising I already had one on the ...

This is an unbelievable restoration even down to the nuts and bolts. Really looking to the finished product, reminds me of the diligence and perseverance of John McKecknie and the Monaro. Well done Paul.

Re: This is getting ridiculous
Dave, in response to your comment in post#69, there have been numerous attempts to MSNZ over the years about so many issues, often met with the response "I worked for "stuol" in the UK so I know, that everyone I know gave up banging their head against walls. The roll cage issue was well thrashed ...

Re: This is getting ridiculous
When were the races though? Some of what appears on TV can be months old. Scrutineers can't check every car as it goes out on track. How many people in anyone's memory have been at a track when fire has caused any injury? Anyone? The last but one injury I can remember, a few years ago now, was an ...

Re: This is getting ridiculous
I have no doubt you are right Dave, I still think it's pretty bizarre that you are put in a position to enforce MSNZ rules which are more strict than FIA. Triple layer plus underwear = sweat. More likely to be scalded by sweat turning to steam in a fire situation and they are medically horrendous ...

Mike L... along with the flameproof underwear, dont forget you also must have- A-balaclava, B-gloves and C-correct sox. These are not inspected at logbook time , but are surreptitiously noted before or after a race meeting...ask Rick Cooper. John, sorry mate you are incorrect re inspection. All ...

Re: The Roaring Season 2018 T-Shirts
Usually around this time of year I put together a t-shirt design and sell a few tees to help keep the lights on at The Roaring Season. However, life has got in the way this year, and I've not had a chance to put anything together. But, rather than be defeated, I've decided to pre-release a design ...

Re: Team Cambridge Monaro
Steve- Totally Fantastic and the sun was definitely shining for the Monaro and TACCOC. Thanks to Angus Fogg being there attending to the various cars under his care, nothing was a problem-except fuel guage giving incorrect reading In the first race, I didnt have enough petrol in, and there was some ...

A gentleman came in and asked for directions, and after a chat we clicked who we were and after over 30 odd years there was Robin Tanner standing in my drive. We had great catch up and Robin actually lives not far from us and he is going to come back over with photos and have a catch up. Will keep ...
