Re: Motoring Books - including your bookshelf.

I didn't get to that swapmeet, it's about 6 hours from home and weather dependant sadly, and with the current cost of motion lotion just a bit too far.

WIGRAM WINGS & WHEELS 1993

Hi folks, trying to find out the exact date of the 1993 wings and wheels please, also if anyone has any articles on how it went, my focus is on the Britten Motorcycles that raced there, results and new lap record details.

Re: Cool old time motorcycle T Shirts

thats from the 1936 programme, a Velocette. The detail is fantastic, take a look at the laces on the old doc martins he's wearing. I'm heading to Waiheke Island to try and find someone who wants to retail this t shirt, I like the idea of people being able to get a shirt that has something behind ...

What a fantastic documentary, not once did Gary Stirling mention a thing about money, nor even a thing that this was his job, the man is a legend

Re: Pukekohe (and other) Race Programmes

I have a stack of old programmes, obviously pre 1983 from the UK, but what fascinates me is the one off cars that we have never heard of since. I scanned the entries from every race from prewar Donington onwards and one day I may add Hillclimbs and then maybe NZ programmes. Some of the scans were ...

Re: Cemetery Circuit, whose going, whose been?

I grew up in Whaganui, vivid memories of watching Hugh Anderson, Jim Redman and Ginger Molloy.. Redman raced at Wanganui but not the Cemetery Circuit, hugh anderson tngled up with a back marker that day and was knocked out in practice, shame as it would have been a treat to see the two battel it ...

Cemetery Circuit, whose going, whose been?

The circuit is unchanged since 1951 and aside from 4 years over that time has run every year. The spectacle is outstanding, last weekends meeting at manfeild saw one 7 thousand second win and one 3 thousandths of a second, in the rain too. The meeting is in Wanganui on Boxing Day Whose a regular ...
