Are you still looking for a cheap LC/LJ project ? , l've been cleaning out the shed and l have a 1970 gtr that l bought for a spare shell while l was racing that is next to go . Rolling shell with tags , seats , glass etc but no motor and box .

Sure can , most rolling starts asked for and ( ususally given ) to noters down here in their fancy BMW's with special Nurburgring gertrag 6 speed boxes with 1.5 to 1 first gears ratios and triple plate clutches should handicap themselves to the back of the grid for the start .............problem ...

Hi John, If it is the Hartley car which had the subframe moved up in the chassis etc, then it went to Lance Evans who amongst other things put a rear wing on it and a KAD 16v engine, it was run here like that for several seasons by Lance and was sold to the States some years ago. You are correct of course Gerald , different priorities in life come along and we needed the money too , way back then 25 years ago we were paying 17.5 percent on our farm morgage under Rogernomics so every dollar counted , including the measley $250 bucks l got for the complete injection setup l ...

Hey Gerald , yes you're probably right .......l shouldn't have weakened and gone and bought it again but l couldn't help meself ! It will be a while before it's going again though , the head actually dropped a valve but the previous owner had it repaired and rebuilt with all new valves and springs ...

Les Bognuda did indeed own this car during the 80's in New Plymouth .
