Re: BUILD THREAD For 1964 Falcon Sprint to Monte Carlo Rallye FIA spec'

The car looks amazing Paul. I doubt they ever looked that good at any stage of their journey from the US to Monte Carlo. The panel fit is just exceptional. The second stage (post licensing) will be just as intriguing for all of us who have followed the build. Great work! [ATTACH=CONFIG]66653[/ATTACH ...

I swear the panel fit you have achieved is better than a production (steel-bodied) car, let alone a bodied-up plastic version. Truly amazing work Paul!

Hi Paul,

It's looking superb mate! Can't imagine how you could have improved anything so far. BTW did you notice that Lars's car has '65 tail-lights?

I might have to cross the ditch to see this beast when its finished.

Cheers.

Re: BUILD THREAD For 1964 Falcon Sprint to Monte Carlo Rallye FIA spec'

By way of an update, earlier this year I sold my 1964 Falcon Rallye Sprint replica after 28-years of fabulous racing enjoyment. It has gone to a new owner in Melbourne who has upgraded from a '64 Mustang. My soft landing was a 2004 Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR which I am using in speed events (time trials ...

Re: Article: Ford Falcon Sprint

Agree Bill, Its such a shame to see them cut up, or any period car for that matter. The Falcon would require a lot of work to get it where it should be but all do-able and well worth it. I would like to get an original Monte Carlo Rallye Sprint car to restore. I would not care what condition. As ...

Re: Article: Ford Falcon Sprint

I can't believe that is an 'original' Alan Mann Racing unit -- if it is, they have completely destroyed its value by making such outlandish mods to the car that bear no resemblance to the period specification. Just because its painted red and gold ...................?

Re: BUILD THREAD For 1964 Falcon Sprint to Monte Carlo Rallye FIA spec'

Hi Paul, i tried sending you some photos, but the site requires a particular size (2000 x 2000) and mine are all different. I'm not much good at this blogging business! There are several of my in-car racing videos on YouTube under the category '1964 Falcon Rallye Sprint' -- let me know if you have ...

Re: BUILD THREAD For 1964 Falcon Sprint to Monte Carlo Rallye FIA spec'

Hi Paul, I run a '64 Falcon Rallye Sprint in Pre-65 historic touring cars in Perth, Western Australia. I did a lot of research (as you have done) back in 1989 when my car was first built. I collected a lot of material (papers and photos) on a visit to Ford at Dearborn, MI and from Lee Holman. I also ...
