Interestingly enough, the only other racing Chev Corvair I have seen live is the Frank Gardner/Alan Grice sports sedan car, which is absolutely nothing like the historic version seen here. I do not know the history of the Ford Galaxy, but the bonnet hump would have had to be an original with the car ...

I attended the Lakeside Classic (All Historic Race meeting) 2016 recently. Great day Saturday, drizzle all day Sunday, but a great track. A great concept, but we have enough struggling open wheel categories in Australia as it is, and I just don't see enough people putting up the money to purchase and run these cars to make a series viable. I do hope I am proven wrong. I suppose time will tell.
